Christmas With PoptropicaStars's Family

Yesterday, Wendy Harrington from the NBC Poptropica weekday talk show, The Lifestyle, interviewed PoptropicaStars about what Christmas and the holidays are really like with her family and relatives along with fashionable new year resolutions. Here is the transcribed interview:

WENDY: So PoptropicaStars, your family, describe them.
POPTROPICASTARS: My family is the type of family that gets along with people no matter what differences you may have. They are always open-minded and will not hold a grudge. I am very fortunate of calling them, "Mom" and "Dad".
WENDY: Knowing you have a small family consisting of only your mother and father, how are Christmas preparations like at your parents' house?
POPTROPICASTARS: Actually, we have several relatives who come over to Thousand Oaks to celebrate Christmas with us. As for preparations... every Christmas Day, everyone pitches in to make each December 25th a memorable one. This year, I am helping my mom set up the banquet table by placing a gift on each chair. The catch is, when the relatives arrive, they do not know which gift they are receiving... but the gifts are all cool trinkets to have as keepsakes.
WENDY: Do you have any fun Christmas traditions?
POPTROPICASTARS: Oh my goodness, yes! *laughs* After dinner, I don't know why, but we always end up having a random dance party in the living room!... My uncle who flies in from California City on Mainland Poptropica has some of the craziest dance moves... ever! He does this jig where he bends his knee almost more than one-hundred-five degrees and... oh my gosh... I need to show everyone here a home video of it. It's that hilarious! *laughs*
WENDY: What do you usually feast on during Christmas?
POPTROPICASTARS: In the morning, I eat a light breakfast like... a granola bar and a glass of milk. It saves time and room for the grand supper... At dinner, my mom and I make the classic Christmas dishes - ham, grilled asparagus, mashed potatoes, spinach quiche, corn on the cob - to everyone's preferences. Of course, I'm a vegetarian and not allowed to eat red meat so ham is sadly off my personal menu... And you can't forget about dessert. My dad makes the best pumpkin and pecan pie in the world!
WENDY: Do you have any memories growing up as a child during the holidays?
POPTROPICASTARS: I was like a kid in a toy store. I enjoyed decorating the Christmas tree whenever December made its mark on the calendar. When I was eight years old, my dad and I always made cheesy Christmas cards to send to our relatives. We wrote stuff like, "Have a Grinch-less Christmas with a side of Who hash." That was the holidays when I was growing up.
WENDY: Have you planned new year resolutions yet?
POPTROPICASTARS: Yes, but I haven't made them official. However, when the clock strikes midnight into 2014, my resolutions will begin very strictly.
WENDY: Can you tell us what you are thinking about designing for 2014?
POPTROPICASTARS: Next year, I want my future designs to be casual chic with high profile... clothing that ordinary working people like me would buy to wear in the business atmosphere.

Halloween Bash 2013

PoptropicaStars attended the annual Los Angeles Halloween Bash at Spectra Warehouse tonight with Nathan Devilman. The two lovebirds were seen sporting ancient Greek costumes to the party. However, they were not the only Poptropicans wearing European "disguises". Kelly Cossley, the renowned aerobics instructor from H&W Poptropica Network's "Stretch with Kelly", met up with PoptropicaStars after they had their guest pictures taken. Apparently, she was wearing a traditional Norwegian folk outfit like back in the days when Kelly grew up in rural Scandinavia. As the night dimmed, the Halloween celebration brightened up with the disco floor below. Varieties of costumes from generic superheros to creative novel characters filled the party warehouse.

PoptropicaStars and Nathan were especially included in the guest list to host tonight's costume contest. They announced the "best dressed" winners from these categories:
"Voted for best scary costume... Benjamin Summers... For best movie character transformation... David Kliff... For best contemporary artist impersonation... Lucy Megdalia... For best cultural imitation... Carlos Winegger... And the overall most creative costume of the night is... Francis Jorgean with an Iron Man and Dark Knight protagonist fusion."
Not only were there Poptropican celebrities and crazy costumes, Halloween games included the traditional apple bobbing barrel, trick-or-treat giveaways, pumpkin decorating, live music ranging from rock to pop to Halloween classics, and nobody would forget the delectable finger foods and beverages served by five of the best caterers in Los Angeles County. It was certainly a night to remember for all the Poptropicans who went.

Movie Date With Nathan D. And PoptropicaStars

PoptropicaStars and Nathan Devilman flew from Los Angeles, California to San Miranda, Mainland Poptropica yesterday morning to prepare for a gigantic day of "Business Savvy" conferences in the city. It is confirmed by PoptropicaStars herself the release date will be on the first weekend in October, likely on the fifth, so we will be sure to keep a close watch on this special opening. After all the busy fashion meetings, Nathan decided to take PoptropicaStars for a disguised afternoon to a nearby AMC Poptropica Theater.
A picture of the street (San Ibetro Street) PoptropicaStars was disguised on along with Nathan Devilman while going to the movie theater.
At the movie theater on San Ibetro Street, the two lovebirds sat in the far back row and excitedly viewed the delectable "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2" and the unexpectedly funny "Don Jon" (R-rated). The two then walked in disguise to a Starbucks where they snacked and laughed over a cup of iced mocha and a roasted vegetable panini. At 4:50 P.M., PoptropicaStars and Nathan flew back to Los Angeles where they are getting ready to fly to New York to showcase the new designs.

Sharon Brusck Scores High On Game Show

Celebrity Monday on CPTV's "Money Ladder" became a record breaker as Sharon Brusck, second place designer on the first season of PoptropicaStars Fashion Fever, became the youngest contestant to answer her way up to the PC$1,000,000 rung. Along the way, some questions easily stormed through her mind while some boggled her brain, eventually using up all three lifelines available for her use.

During the final question (picture below), Sharon had to answer one of the toughest film questions to date on the show as "The Paleontologist" is a minor-produced documentary in selected regions of Poptropica. In her own words:
I remember hearing about this movie in a Poptropican newspaper while I was touring, but I have not watched it... The only answer that I can rule out is 'B' simply because its prefix 'lepto-' reminds me of a leopard which are cat-like creatures and they can not be found in the desert or long ago ocean environments... I'm just going to have to take a wild guess and say 'C'. That's my final answer."
Sadly, Sharon did not answer this question correctly as the right answer was actually 'D'. However, she did win PC$850,000 in this celebrity day on Money Ladder, which she proudly donated to the 'Clothes 4 Kids Organization', helping children around the world who are in dire need of clothes.

Lakeside View Photoshoot

This late afternoon, PoptropicaStars took a road trip from the city of Los Angeles to a lake in Oceanside (near San Diego) to make it on time for her Chalet & Co. autumn photoshoot. In this photoshoot, she is featuring a casual, mustard yellow fur & leather jacket, a purple-schemed T-shirt, silver-studded high heels, and denim jeans designed by C&C CEO, Elaran Glory, to keep sweat from perspiring in 80°F or lower temperatures. These articles of artistry will certainly be the top selling items for Chalet & Co. in back-to-school shopping. As almost every parent in Poptropica is saying, "You're never not cool to look good for school."

COSMETIC USES:
1. Black Mascara from Sephora

Old-School Businesswoman Look

PoptropicaStars has been in her sketch studio at home lately drawing designs for her new, Business Savvy Collection coming soon in fall 2013. She has decided to share an upcoming product of her latest creation, the "Nontransparent Look", which features a white, light fabric dress shirt that does not have see-through abilities, a standard black skirt, and a belt currently in a fixing stage on the sketchpad. PoptropicaStars is hoping this will bring in businesswomen from lawyers to receptionists searching for a fresher, but proper look.

PoptropicaStars Fashion Fever S2 Interviews: Iris's Elimination

Iris Lawson, a 22-year old housewife from Bloomington, Minnesota, was eliminated by a photo finish mistake in the Elimination Game which caused her to drop from first place to last place, leading to her exit from the competition. She remains to this date the oldest contestant to participate in PoptropicaStars Fashion Fever. After leaving the lair and packing her belongings, she was relocated to the elimination villa in Malibu, California at 9:05 A.M. where her fellow eliminated designers were sequestered. Jennifer, Danielle, Tiffany and Kendra welcomed her with open arms and were shocked with the outcome. The elimination fashion designers grabbed trail mix snacks, a cool glass of lemonade and sat at the luxurious beige sofa to watch what led to Iris's demise in the fifth episode. After finishing the video, Iris decided to teach everyone how to make a braided bracelet from the designing supplies received in the afternoon. Everyone had a uniquely colored bracelet especially Kendra's which she redyed mauve to compliment her skirt. Later during the night, the fashion designers went out to a fitness center where they could keep in shape to lift weights.

After getting back to the villa, Iris received a surprise phone call from her husband, Henry, and toddler, Luke. They told her no matter what, they were still proud of her for making it far in the competition.

Before Iris arrived at the elimination villa, she had to prepare for her interview with Nick Burley, the host of Good Morning Poptropica. The interview started at 7:25 and Nick asked these questions during the interview.

NICK: Good morning, Iris! We know a lot of viewers have been cheering for you to win this season, so how are you and how are you feeling right now?
IRIS: I am doing and feeling really great, Nick. Thank you very much for asking.
NICK: Okay, I'm going to ask you a series of Fashion Fever and personal related questions and you have to answer them as honestly as you can. Ready?
IRIS: Okay, let's start.
NICK: What was your reaction when you found out you had the wrong photo in the Elimination Game?
IRIS: I wasn't shocked, but I had a feeling of pressure and urgency that I had to find the photo before anyone else checked into the lair. I saw and heard Heidi checking in when I finished looking at the farmer picture, so I knew Monica was the only one left on the mission and I had to quickly find the farmer before she finds her remaining portion of the photo set.
NICK: What was your overall strategy in competing against the other fashion designers?
IRIS: My strategy coming in to this competition was to be as honest as I can be and try to be a well-rounded designer. Working at my Traci's boutique shop, I knew being a people-pleasing person would be an advantage for me because who would want to vote off a caring, pleasant designer.
NICK: Before the Bollywood fashion assignment, you calmed Kendra down, and you made a deal with her to work together in the game? Why did you still write her name down after Nariah won fashion immunity?
IRIS: I had to calm Kendra down so she would not become an emotional wreck and I did not want to see that side of her. She has suffered enough with insults from Tiffany, I had to give her a break from excessively crying. I said in a frank manner that I would work her. Honestly, I would have loved to collaborate, but the more you think about it, can you actually trust someone who has constantly deceived others in order to eliminate them?
NICK: Good point, now how did you handle homesickness missing your husband and child?
IRIS: I told my husband to take care of my child back home, he's turning one in a couple months, and for my child, I gave him a kiss and said "Mommy will bring back many great clothes." I thought about them every minute of the competition and they are the shining inspirations that made me want to join PoptropicaStars Fashion Fever.
NICK: Are you surprised you outlasted four eliminations and almost an Elimination Game this season?
IRIS: I am pretty shocked I even passed the critic review, haha. I had confidence when I was going to the airport to fly to Los Angeles to be a part of the competition, but when I entered the lair, it seems that I had lost hope in winning because when everyone started greeting and chatting, every designer I was with seemed better prepared than me. Heidi said she is a fashion blogger, Monica is a bridal dress sewer, Danielle makes and markets her own line of casual clothing... for me, I'm just a 22-year-old mom who loves to design clothes in her free time. It was overwhelming at first, but once you get the gist of the concept, it's a piece of cake for a designer.
NICK: You hit a couple bumpy roads on your trip to the final 4, what was your struggle that made you feel close to giving up?
IRIS: There wasn't a time when I thought about giving up since I wanted to show everyone I am capable of designing no matter the circumstances and I had fun along the way. However, a time when I felt most disappointed and ashamed was during the critic review assignment where we had to travel to an island to give a critical reception to a random stranger on their fashion instincts. I don't know if they shown it on television, but I tried asking about eight people in the barren desert for me to review their apparel, but they thought I was a freaky lady idiot asking them for a review, so they ignored me. It was about a few miles before I found a guy wearing gothic or punkish clothing that allowed me to review his style.
NICK: We had positive feedback on the food the bed & breakfast served to the fashion designers. What did you think of the food you ate there?
IRIS: That's a good question. I think the food tasted pretty great. I'm not a big fan of luxury dinners like lobsters, filet mignons or all-you-can-eat desserts so I didn't order any of those meals, but I enjoyed the potato salad and bite-size sandwiches for lunch the best.
NICK: We're running out of time right now, so who is you favorite designer in the game right now you are rooting for to take the Next Fashionista title?
IRIS: I am cheering for my lovely ally, Nariah, to win the competition because I formed an alliance with her when neither one of us had a trusty buddy. I think she will do well in the final 3.
NICK: It was very nice to meet and interview you, Iris. Thank you very much.
IRIS: I appreciated it. It is an honor to meet you, Nick.

Modestly Adventurous Advice On Pop-Topics

PoptropicaStars's face is smack dab on this week's Pop-Topics magazine cover. She has been really generous to give out two free summer fashion recommendations from the magazine article itself to this place, the blog. Here is what she had to say about rocking the adventurous look with a casual style.

SWIMWEAR:
"One of my favorite articles of clothing to wear for a beach party, Hawaiian luau or just plain relaxing on the white sands of Los Cabos would be the ever iconic swimwear. Of course, getting a modest look on a bikini top and bottom is very difficult to pull off. An amazing designer named Lisa Maree made this crocheted, one-piece bathing suit which caught my eye immediately. It is really comfortable to wear because of the main use of cotton and nylon in the piece. It has a tie halter which gives you a comfortable fit which does not stress your neck like some of my old two-piece swimwear I used to wear. It has a perfect blend of 'open-ness' and coverage which doesn't appear too racy like typical two-pieces or too modest like a tankini."

URBAN ADVENTURE:
"The summer urban look is really unique to me. To get the street smart style, at the same time, having a spike of Indiana Jones without long sleeves is quite challenging. While on vacation in say France or Japan you see people wearing their casual closet a lot of the times. There are the clubbers who wear fringes, thigh-length shorts and party jackets, then there are casual walkers who don a simple T-shirt and capris. You could have either of those styles with a bit of pizzazz whether adding a personal touch to the piece. They all give off an adventure feel; personality makes it yours. I am a casual traveler so a party jacket would be appropriate for me. Now, many of you may be shocked, but I really dislike glitter and sequins. Glitter has no meaning or appeal whatsoever. Sequins make a soft ruckus whenever you take a walk in them and it gets irritating. They just make a shiny mess of blah. A beige suede party jacket would work because of its lightweight and durability which is common in summer looks."
PoptropicaStars is on the June 10-16, 2013 edition of Pop-Topics magazine giving out tips on rocking an adventurous look without being a total skin-shower.

Sunset Blues

PoptropicaStars traveled around the Los Angeles area this afternoon, taking part in an L. Vuici and Lluvy's photoshoot, to model for the summer season of each collection. Even though Lluvy's has not sent us their shot of the day, we have received PoptropicaStars's L. Vuici shot from the cosmetic brand's CEO, George Merreder, himself.

In Merreder's words, "PoptropicaStars has a one-of-a-kind face, beautiful lips, and great eyelashes. I have praised some of her works and knowledge in cosmetic modeling in the past, so I decided to showcase her in the new [L. Vuici] Summer Sunset eye shadow because I think her complexion and the hue of our new lip and eye combination package match. She has a bright vibe... and it would be a shame not to resemble her as the sun setting in this photo shoot."

COSMETIC USES:
1. L. Vuici's Summer Sunset Eyeshadow
2. Summer Sunset Lipstick
3. L. Vuici's Traditional Mascara

Fashion At The Summer Breeze Festival

Usually PoptropicaStars is busying traveling to fashion merchandising and marketing conferences, filling out modeling paperwork, or filming Fashion Fever, but today she is setting up a booth at the Lucas R. Ferris Convention Center in Ellisburg, Mainland Poptropica to meet with local and traveling Poptropicans to try on some of her latest summer fabric works. PoptropicaStars loves seeing people try new things and she hopes her designs will be something new for the audiences. In addition to wearing her summer collection pieces, she has also teamed up with the Poptropican Red Cross in donating old or unused clothing to in-need Poptropicans. So if you have a shirt or pants not worth wearing anymore, lay it into the bin for a good cause instead of throwing it in the garbage.

From fantastic fashion to flavorful food, the Summer Breeze Festival this year is going to be more packed than ever. Even a special performance from X-Factor Poptropica top 7 finalist, Nikki Flincher, is debuting her new summer soul song, "Ocean Breeze". It's an event you will not want to miss.

Disguised Sighting

A Poptropican local photographed this uncommon sighting of PoptropicaStars shopping in the Santa Pamela, Mainland Poptropica area. PoptropicaStars stands incognito between the country-city fusion outlet, Suburbian, and high-end retail brand, Club Monaco. It is inferred she purchased a couple evening gowns at Club Monaco before walking up San Alonzo Boulevard heading towards the city airstrip.

The unique disguise she is sporting: a fur leather jacket, a black tank top, a gray miniskirt, and black high heels with red indents. PoptropicaStars is also donning continental sunglasses, an orange and black card purse, and depressingly gray lipstick.

New York Fashion Week 2013 (Monday)

PoptropicaStars flew from Los Angeles to the other side of the nation, New York City, to experience a once in a week's year fashion extravaganza! The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week runway is the center of attention in the heart of Lincoln Center Plaza in this massive blizzard. Due to the buildup of several feet of snow in the northeast, PoptropicaStars's Southwest Airlines flight from LAX to LaGuardia was delayed two hours after former take-off time.

After arriving at the fashion show, PoptropicaStars met up with Ida Nolan, CEO of Violette brand, who employed Alis Henderson, the Fashion Fever (season 1) winner, as an assistant fashion designer.

During the fashion show, PoptropicaStars enjoyed the variety of simple patterns & designs, standout dresses, trench coats, and parkas Nina Skarra, Lela Rose, Bellavance, and Calla brought to the buyers' notepads. In the end, PoptropicaStars bid for a black hem & white Nina Skarra trench coat, but lost to another fashion buyer representative. She ended Monday proud with mild chills. Thus, she stays in her hotel room for the remainder of this week sightseeing New York City and exploring more creativity at Lincoln Center.

Marina del Rey? Yes, Please!

PoptropicaStars and Nathan Devilman were at Marina del Rey, California this afternoon near 3:45 P.M. (Pacific Time Zone) taking beautiful pictures of the maritime waters and the many sailboats and yachts reserved in the area.

After taking several pictures on land, they hopped into their private catamaran to go on a sea exploration in the Pacific Ocean a kilometer off the shore of Venice Beach. Nathan decided to go fishing for a quarter of an hour catching a total of three trouts and one flounder while PoptropicaStars studied compasses and nautical symbols to use to her advantage when directing Nathan back to the marina.

Christina Jones "Let The Hatin' Began"

Christina Jones, the seventh place designer in PoptropicaStars Fashion Fever season 1, scored a massive disappointment and started a controversial discussion around Poptropica media last night (Friday) with the official premiere of her new reality show, "Hate Me Or Hate Me Not", at 10/7 Pacific Time Zone on VH1 Poptropica.

In this show, Christina features herself doing crazy, random, and beyond extraordinary activities each divided into separate segments such as prank calling a logging company, provocative dancing to jazz music, or making a dramatic scene at a grocery store. Last night, the show premiered with her saying the show's signature catch phrase, "You either hate me or hate me not..." and then an epilepsy array of pictures flashing through the screen displaying the show's logo. She then features herself as each segment proceeds, talking about how much hatred she has towards her archenemies, divorced family, and her birthplace, making a scene at the Mac Crenshaw Airport in her hometown, the prank call (picture below), and her stereotyping socks and leggings. Some minor subjects include the sacrificial game show featuring the first victim, Patty Hanson, and debating about if the iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S3 is better. Near the end of the episode, Christina promotes the show with her atrocious rendition of Madonna featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.'s "Gimme All Your Luvin'" with her own song, "I Am Christina Jones" featuring Ke$ha. The show ended with 7.01 million viewers and a #3 viewer timeslot.

The controversy level of Christina's new show ranges from moderate to high with the Poptropica public calling her a "hypocrite" to "a total anti-civilization racist" despite the VH1 Poptropica viewer base's 90.8% dislike in this concept of the episode. Beyond the name-calling, she has received numerous threats and lawsuits from Alabama and Poptropica locals at 5:00 A.M. today that she eventually called out via her home phone and stalking them with angry e-mails. VH1 Poptropica is currently considering pulling "Hate Me Or Hate Me Not" from the Friday schedule and transferring into the Saturday run after "Playback Debates" at 11/8 Pacific Time Zone to make it appropriate for parental guidance due to strong language and condescending song renditions.
From Jones's Facebook profile, she took a screenshot of her television set last night featuring herself during the prank call segment of the premiere.
